The annual Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) will be organised at Diggi Palace for the last time in the year 2020.

Rajasthan chief secretary D.B. Gupta at a meeting on Thursday said that the decision of organising Jaipur Literature Festival at a different venue from 2021 onwards was priorly decided. The decision has been taken due to security reasons.

However, this year a conditional permission to organise the festival at Diggi Palace has been given to the authority.

After discussing it with senior officials, the decision has been made to organise the festival in 2021 from January 27 to February 1. In 2020, the festival will be organised from January January 23 to January 27, added Gupta talking to the media at the secretariat after the meeting.

Speaking about the schedule change Gupta stated that the police commissionerate were facing multiple issues from security to parking arrangements during days like January 25 and 26.
