Two LPU students offered Rs 28 lakh package by Amazon

Lovely Professional Universities (LPU) two students received a package of Rs 28 lakh per annum respectively offered by the online website/App Amazon. The university said in a statement, students who are capable of digital skills like Al, data analytic and machine learning receive better offer in this years placement season than the students who kept themselves in a box of traditional skills.

Manish Tolani of 2018 batch is one of the student who received the package from Amazon. He did internship with Amazon for one year and in May 2018, he was hired by the company for the full time job. Second student who received the package named, Gurpreet, who is the junior of Manish Tolani, is currently interning with Amazon and is already offered by them for a full-time job as Software Development Engineer.

Skill in machine learning and data analytic was the key for both the students that they hired by Amazon.

Universities like LPU are allowing their students to learn new age skills through various certification, hiring industry trainers and partnering with online education platforms like Udacity, Upgrad and Simplilearn.

LPU provides an option to it’s student’s to choose minor subject in specific skills like machine learning, AI, Android, and Data Science.

Juniper Network Certifications, CISCO Certifications, Azure Certifications, ABAP Certifications, Pega Certifications and Google Course on Digital are some of the certification provided by LPU. Based on these skills certification around 1300 students from the batch of 2020 have been enrolled by companies.

TCS, HCL, Adobe, Zoho, Bosch, Virtusa are some of the companies that also hired students with rising technological skills.
