The organizers of the Paris, Milan, and London fashion week decide to go digital with an aim to do something different this year. 

Coronavirus has been forcing the fashion industry to pivot its trajectories. One more revolutionary decision forced upon the industry by the pandemic is making the famous fashion weeks go digital. Fashion weeks are the most awaited events of every year, with thousands of people longing to see what their favorite designers have for the year’s collection. However, the current situation does not allow the designers to follow the years old tradition anymore. Surrendering to the deadly virus, the organizers have decided to go digital this year.

Technology is the essence of today’s world and making the most of it, the organizers are planning to host Milan, London, and Paris fashion week digitally. The virtual event will have some interesting videos and content for its viewers. Paris Fashion Week will be held in a video format from July 9 to 13, followed by it, the London Fashion Week has been scheduled from July 12 to 14 and finally, the Milan Fashion Week is set for July 14 to 17

The runway of the Paris fashion week will be dominated by men’s fashion designers this year, whereas, Milan and London fashion week decide to extend the opportunity to both women and men’s fashion designers.

Carlo Capasa, the President of Camera Della Moda said that idea behind going digital for hosting the fashion weeks is to do something different this year. However, she believes that the September edition will surely be back in the physical format, although with limited pomp and show. But, the situation can not be certainly predicted, he added.

Furthermore, according to the statement released by Giorgio Armani Group, Milan’s Fashion week men’s collection will be displayed in September.
