A day after Arvind Kejriwal hit remarks on BJP alleging them of buying Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs by giving 10 crores to each MLA, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Gandhinagar (Delhi) constituency, Anil Bajpai joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday.
Anil Bajpai joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in presence of Delhi (BJP) in charge and national vice president Shyam Jaju and Union Minister and BJP leader Vijay Goel.
While joining the party Anil Bajpai claimed, “I have worked in Aam Aadmi Party for the past 15 years. I was hurt by the lack of respect and a peculiar type of functioning. It has detracted from its original path.”
On Thursday Arvind Kejriwal’s alleged Bhartiya Janta Party of giving 10 crore rupees each to AAP’s MLAs and asking them to join BJP. However, Bajpai denied having taken money for joining the BJP and said that Kejriwal made false allegations against the ruling party.
Arvind Kejriwal also alleged prime Minister Narendra Modi of influencing his MLAs by giving them 10 crores each. He targeted the Prime Minister and asked him as to where does he get this money from. He also questioned him if this is the definition of democracy for him.
After the remark made by Arvind Kejriwal, the Union Minister Vijay Goel took over the Aam Aadmi Party and said that 14 MLAs have been in touch with BJP and want to switch their parties because of the frustration and humiliation they are facing in the Aam Aadmi Party.
The seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi will go to polls in the 6th phase of the Lok Sabha polls on May 12. The results for the 17th Lok Sabha elections be announced on May 23
