Mamata Banerjee lands in Delhi, to protest at Jantar Mantar on 13th

Last week, Mamata Banerjee was all over the headlines because of her ‘dharna’ against the alleged CBI coup on Kolkata Police Commissioner, Rajeev Kumar.

CBI accused Rajeev Kumar of destroying evidence related to Saradha Chit Fund scam. As Rajeev Kumar was heading the SIT that investigated the Saradha Scam.

‘Chaos’ erupted when CBI went to the bungalow of Rajeev Kumar and tried to arrest him, where they had to face-off the Kolkata Police. The nation watched as the two law agency collided.

Kolkata Police even surrounded the CBI office there, the CRPF was rushed to the venue by the centre.

She had fast for 3 consecutive days and only ended it after the Supreme Court of India directed the CBI to question Rajeev Kumar at ‘Shillong; but not to arrest him. She cited the verdict as a ‘moral victory’ and ended her fast.

Now, Didi is all set to bring the fight to the nose of Narendra Modi in delhi. As she landed in Delhi on Tuesday.

She will be participating in the “Save Constitution, Save Democracy, Save Federal Structure, Save India.” rally in protest of the Modi-led BJP government.

The protest is organised by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.

Andra Pradesh CM, Chandra Babu Naidu is also likely to participate in the protest.

Previously, both West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh withdrew their ‘general consent’ from the Central Bureau of Investigation.

Many other opposition leaders are likely to extend their support to the protest.

As per AAP, all the leaders that shared the stage at United India Rally are invited in the protest against the ‘dictatorial’ regime of the centre.

Mamata Banerjee is likely to visit Parliament before the rally starts on Monday.

It is said that, it is Banerjee’s practice to visit Delhi during the Parliamentary session, where she spends some time at her TMC office in the Parliament and then she catches her old friends  across political spheres in the Central Hall.
