February 22: In order to provide an online platform to the local weavers and artisans, Flipkart has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu state’s ministry of small-scale and medium enterprises.

This partnership has been drawn under Flipkart’s Samarth program that aims at helping the small-scale industries of Tamil Nadu state to present and sell their products on a global platform without any hindrance and limit. Other than this, Flipkart will also be providing market access training and support to the sellers.

The Samarth initiative was launched by Flipkart back in 2019 that solely targeted helping craftspersons, artisans, and weavers from across the country to sell their products on its e-commerce platform.
