Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency Gautam Gambhir file defamation case against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor and Delhi chief minister Mr. Arvind Kejriwal deputy Delhi Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Aam Aadmi Party candidate from east Delhi Atishi Marlena after the leaders impose allegations against him of circulating pamphlet with derogatory and obscene remarks about Atishi Marlena.
The BJP candidate sends the notice to the three leaders demanding an unconditional and unqualified apology for defaming and maligning his image with false and baseless allegations.
The massive development came after Aam Aadmi Party’s East Delhi candidate Atishi Marlena on Thursday alleged that her opponent Gautam Gambhir circulated pamphlets that questioned her morals and contained objectionable and deeply offensive remarks about her and talks about the false illicit relationship between Atishi and deputy CM Manish Sisodia.
Addressing a press briefing Atishi broke down while reading the contents of the pamphlet saying that if such a candidate wins the election what respect will be offered to the women.
After the Allegations, Gautam Gambhir came down strongly on the Aam Aadmi Party and said that if the opposition can prove the contents of the pamphlet were written by him he is ready to resign and take back his candidature right now.
The leaflets that were distributed contained obscene remarks about Atishi Marlena. It also contains some scurrilous personal allegations of relationships between her and Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia.
Gambhir tweeted that he abhors the act of Arvind Kejriwal of outraging women’s modesty and that too his own colleagues and all of this for winning elections?
