Congress president Rahul Gandhi said that NYAY will be beneficial to the poor and middle class in the country and taxe rates won’t go on a hike.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday said that Nyunatam Aay Yojana (NYAY) will be beneficial to the poorest of the poor in the country as the middle class as there would not be any hike in taxes. While addressing students at Chandrapur in Pune, Rahul Gandhi said that the minimum income support scheme, named NYAY, would not drain money from the middle class by a hike in income taxes but will be beneficial to the poorest people in the country by giving them some income support.The NYAY provides Rs. 72,000 p.a. to the poorest in the country.
Rahul Gandhi also criticised that the Modi government waivs off loans of capitalists but not of common people.
“If you are a student or a farmer you cannot get your loans written off. But if your name is Anil Ambani you can have crores written off, if your name is Nirav Modi you can run away with crores,” Mr. Gandhi said.
“I love PM Modi. Genuinely I have no hatred or anger towards the man, but he has anger towards me,” he went on to say.
Mr. Gandhi also criticised Modi saying that he has disrespected his own guru, Mr. L.K. Advani.
