Danish Jewelry manufacturer Pandora has announced Peter A. Ruzicka as the new chair of the board of directors.

Ruzicka will take over the position from January 1 2020, soon after Peder Tuborgh steps down as the member and chair of the Board of Directors on 31 December, 2019.

Earlier on the nomination for the position Ruzicka said, “I am honoured to be nominated as the new chair of the Board of Directors. Pandora is the largest jewellery brand in the world and touches the lives of millions of consumers every day with its unique offering based on quality craftsmanship, affordability and collectability. I strongly believe in the turnaround and the direction set through Programme NOW and look forward to contributing to the development.”

Prior to this Ruzicka served as the president and CEO of Orkla ASA, a Norwegian conglomerate company. His vast operational experience within strategy, transformation execution, brand building and retail optimisation, might help Pandora escalate in the coming times.

In a bid to strengthen its leadership team, earlier this month Pandora named Bulgari’s former Vice President of Global Marketing & Communication, Carla Liuni as the Chief Marketing Officer.
