Indian e-commerce company Snapdeal has strengthened its network by planning to cater its services to a larger customer base. Adding 3,500 new pin codes to the list, the e-commerce network will now reach out to more than 26,000 pin codes all across the country.

Statistics claim that the firm saw a 50% growth in its sales over last year and 90% of the orders came from non-metro cities. Keeping the numbers in mind, the firm will now deliver to Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities and most of the Tier 3 towns of India. From small towns of Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Sikkim, West Bengal to Nagaland, the list includes it all.

A Snapdeal spokesperson in a statement said, “The network expansion is a logical next step of our leadership in Bharat-focused e-commerce. This growth in our reach reflects the vast potential of value-focused e-commerce in our country and we plan to add more areas to our network in 2020.”

The spokesperson further added that Snapdeal uses an extensive network of third-party logistics providers to ensure that sellers can ship goods directly from establishments, including Shadowfax, FedEx, and Bluedart among others. This process is faster and more efficient and does not require sellers to stock their goods in centralized warehouses.
